Seagate has released the 10TB model "ST10000VX0004", a 3.5-inch "SkyHawk" HDD for use with surveillance cameras and other constant recording devices.
SkyHawk is part of Seagate's new Guardian Series lineup of internal HDDs, and is a 3.5-inch HDD with SATA 6Gbps connection for use with surveillance cameras and other constant recording devices. firmware, it features efficient recording of images from a large number of cameras. It can support up to 64 cameras.
The Guardian Series also includes the BarraCuda for desktop users and the IronWolf for RAID and NAS systems. The SkyHawk can withstand 180TB per year, three times the workload of desktop drives, and supports multi-drive configurations of eight or more drives (up to eight drives for the IronWolf).
