Short Anime "CHEATING CRAFT" & "TO BE HERO" to start in October! Staff and cast also revealed!

Animation brand "HAOLINERS" has announced "CHEATING CRAFT" and "TO BE HERO," two short animated films starting in October.



In "CHEATING CRAFT," C-type (Cheating Type) students, who will stop at nothing to achieve excellent grades, team up with L-type (Learning Type) students, who are more focused on academic achievement, and battle it out on exams in this exciting story. The characters are designed by Mai Matsuura of "KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm" and played by Tomohiro Yamaguchi as Mutsuaki Zhuge, Rie Kugimiya as Takui Huang, Daisuke Namikawa as Yunfu Zhou, Rena Ueda as Baiku Liu, Junya Ikeda as Jun, Yoko Hikasa as Kyuri and Kotono Mitsuishi as Teacher Oh. The opening theme will be "The Strongest Underground".
In addition, the opening theme is "Accelerating Trial" by "Masked Girls," known as the strongest underground idol group, and the ending theme is "Welcome Future" by popular voice actress Aina Kusuda.

TO BE HERO" is a comedy about an old man who transforms from handsome to chubby to protect the earth and his daughter Min-chan. Directed by Shinichi Watanabe of "YAMATO NADESHIKO SHICHAN CHANGE" fame, the old man is played by Kenjiro Tsuda, Min by Moa Tsukino (Masked Girls), and "Mr. Yamada" by Minoru Aoyama.

Starting October 5, "CHEATING CRAFT" will air on TOKYO MX every Wednesday from 18:30, and "TO BE HERO" will run approximately 9 minutes. HAOLINERS" is an animation brand developed by the Chinese animation studio Shanghai Ekai, which accounts for about 80% of China's online distribution animation supply, and established its Japanese branch, "E Joy", in October 2015. Currently, its first Japanese production, "Ichi no shita the outcast," is currently airing.

The additional cast of "TO BE HERO" includes Tomokazu Sugita as the prince and Tsuyoshi Maeda as the alien. Director Shinichi Watanabe himself may also be a voice actor? The director Shinichi Watanabe himself may also voice-act in the film.
