Information on the theme song of the TV anime "Touken Ranbu Hanamaru," which will start in October, has been announced.

The TV anime "Toukendanbu-Hanamaru" is based on the sword training simulation game "Toukendanbu-ONLINE-", which is popular mainly among women. It depicts the earnest and carefree lives of the "sword fighters" who are inspired to prevent "historical revisionists" from altering history. Directed by Takashi Naoya, character design by Junichiro Taniguchi, series composition and script by Pierre Sugiura, and production by Animation Studio. Also scheduled to air in 2017 is "Sword Dance (tentative title)," produced by ufotable.

This time, the opening theme, "Hanamaru ◎ Day! will be sung by Mitsuhiro Ichirai, who plays Yamatomori Stable, and Toshiki Masuda, who plays Kashu Kiyomitsu. On the other hand, the ending theme will be sung by a different swordsman related to the episode each time.

It was also announced that a CD series "Uta Eishu" containing the opening theme and the ending theme of each episode will be released. The CD series "Uta Eishu" will include "Hanamaru ◎ Biyori! will be released on October 12, and the price is 1,200 yen plus tax for the regular edition, and 1,800 yen plus tax for the special edition that comes with a storyboard booklet of the opening movie and a sticker of a petite character newly drawn by the chief animation director, Eriko Iida.

Broadcasting will be on TOKYO MX every Sunday from 24:00 on October 2 (Sun.), on Kansai TV every Sunday from 25:55 on October 2 (Sun.), and on BS11 every Sunday from 24:30 on October 2 (Sun.). It will also be distributed on DMM.com and dAnime Store.
