The theme song information of the full 3DCG anime "CYBORG009 CALL OF JUSTICE" has been released.

CYBORG009 CALL OF JUSTICE" is an anime work produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Shotaro Ishinomori's masterpiece "Cyborg 009". It depicts a new battle between the Zero-Zero Number cyborgs and the "Blessed," a group of unidentified aliens, in full 3DCG. General director is Kenji Kamiyama, directed by Kodai Kakimoto, and character design by Masatsugu Saito. The film consists of three chapters: Chapter 1 will be released in theaters on November 25 (Fri.), Chapter 2 on December 2 (Fri.), and Chapter 3 on December 9 (Fri.) for a limited two-week run.

The theme song will be "A.I. am Human" by MONKEY MAJIK. In the visual released along with the theme song, newly drawn by character designer Mr. Saito, the members of MONKEY MAJIK in their Zero Zero Number Cyborg suits appear along with Joe and Françoise. Below are their comments.

〈Producer〉.
Cyborg 009" is a film about warriors who are united by a strong bond that transcends nationality and fights for peace. We were looking for an artist who would fit the worldview of "Cyborg 009" and who could express the main character's ability, "Acceleration Device," which is an important element of the film. We were sure that he would be able to express the sense of speed and the melancholy of fighting that we were looking for in the rhythm of his music.
Furthermore, Miyagi Prefecture, where MONKEY MAJIK is based, is also the hometown of Shotaro Ishinomori, the author of the original novel. We felt a connection with this area and decided to ask MONKEY MAJIK to produce the theme song for this film.

What made you decide on the theme song for the film?
We never imagined that we would be able to produce thetheme song for the latest "Cyborg 009," an anime that has been around since before we were born.We, MONKEY MAJIK, are based in Miyagi, and the author, Mr. Shotaro Ishinomori, is our hometown and the pride of Miyagi.We have a special feeling for his works, andwe feel very honored to be involved in this work thatis loved by people all over the world.

What is the meaning behind the title?
I have seen all of his works andfelt theconflict between the human heart and the cyborg body of the main character, andthe justice and lovehe holds because of it.I entrusted thetitle "A.I. (=cyborg) am Human (=human)"toexpress the feelings I had in between these two.

I wanted tocreate a song that conveys the strength of a superhero who rises up to save the world, and a sense of speed.Also, sincethis is an anime that has been loved for many years by people of all generations, I added nostalgic elements that are typical of the 70s and 80s in the breakpoints and chorus.
