Announcing the results of Anipota's "2016 Summer Anime OP Theme Popularity Poll!　The OP theme of "orange", "Shards of Light / Yu Takahashi" won overwhelmingly!

Akiba Research Institute's anime portal "Anipota" has been holding the "OP Theme Popularity Poll [2016 Summer Anime]" since August 17, and the poll closed on September 19. As a result, the top 10 songs are as follows. The total number of votes was 17554.

The winner with nearly 4,000 votes was "Hikari no Shards" (Yu Takahashi), the theme song of the coming-of-age anime "orange. The song showed overwhelming strength from the beginning of the voting, and its popularity remained completely unimpeded until the end. The song, which was written by the popular artist Yu Takahashi for the film, has gained tremendous popularity in combination with the sadness of adolescence in the film. In the "ED Theme Popularity Poll [2016 Summer Anime]," which is open for voting until September 22 (Thu.), "Mirai" by Kobukuro, the ED theme of the same "orange," is also showing its overwhelming popularity.
