It has been one year since their debut. MICHI, which has been running continuously, releases its first album!

MICHI's debut song was the opening and ending theme for the TV anime "Rokka no Yusha," and over the past year, she has continued to sing theme songs for TV anime such as "Dare ga Shigatsu" and "Chrome Chlo. and her innocent character that brightens up the surroundings. Since her debut song, Elements Garden has been supporting her on the sound side.

Finally, her first album "Sprint for the Dreams" has been completed, and we hope you will feel MICHI's full power!

With the new songs on the album, I opened the door of my heart to the fullest! (Laughs)

─ ─ Congratulations on the release of your 1st album "Sprint for the Dreams" - from your debut in July 2015 to this full album, things are going very well, aren't they?

MICHI Thank you! It's going so well that it's scary for me (laughs), and it's all thanks to the staff and MICHI Nanchu Minna-san.

─ ─ MICHI, you are also attracting attention as an anime song singer from Okinawa, aren't you? When did you start aiming to become a professional?

MICHI It was when I was in high school. I had a girl otaku friend and we would go out to karaoke. I started looking into anime song artists and got more and more into it.

MICHI ─ By "fellow otaku," you mean "Geetan.

MICHI I'm glad you know me (laughs).

(laugh) ──When I read your interviews, I usually find you talking about your "gee-tan" friends. You must have had a very enjoyable otaku life.

MICHI That's right (laughs). I hid the fact that I liked anime from everyone until I was in junior high school, but when I became a high school student, I met "Gaetan" and learned about late-night anime. Until then, I had only watched NHK anime such as "Card Captor Sakura" and the very major ones like "One Piece" and "Bleach," so my world had suddenly broadened. But once I made my debut and came to Tokyo, the amount of information was totally different. I am still very happy.

─ ─ Not only do you enjoy your anime life, but you have already sung four anime theme songs as a professional artist. Do you feel that you have grown as a singer over the past year?

MICHI Compared to when I first debuted, my singing style has changed considerably. I have also become able to free myself to sing, and I feel that I am getting a good response. The new songs on this album open the door to my heart completely (laughs). I can confidently say, "Please see MICHI as it really is.

─ ─ Looking back on the recording of your debut single, how do you feel now?

MICHI I was stiff (laughs). (Laughs.) Actually, while we were working on the album, the members of Elements Garden said to me, "I'm going to tell you now, but what about the beginning? I'll say this now, but at first I wasn't sure what I was going to do" (laughs).

─ ─ On the contrary, you can say that because you recognize MICHI's growth (laughs).

MICHI I don't know (laughs)...Elements Garden is a do-gooder, and every time we have to take on a difficult song. Of course, all the songs are wonderful, so they are worth singing. I get nervous every time, wondering what song will come next.

Elements Garden has been producing the sound for all of MICHI's singles since his debut single "Cry for the Truth," and they also produced all but two of the new songs on this album.

MICHI I am really happy because they are the sound creators that I have admired since I was in Okinawa. Recently, I have been receiving compliments on my voice and wider range.

─ ─ I think my growth is being recognized by the people around me. I think this is reflected in the title of the album, "Sprint for the Dreams.

MICHI: For a year since our debut, we have been trying to do our best to accomplish what is in front of us, not knowing what is right or left. We mustn't forget that gung-ho spirit from now on, and we will keep on running even faster! That's why I titled the project "Sprint for the Dreams".

─ ─ I think this title is exactly what expresses where you are now, MICHI.
