First, "Mirai" (Kobukuro ), the ED theme of "change," came in first place with an overwhelming popularity of 3,139 votes, outstripping the second-place finisher, and remained in the top spot throughout. As for "orange", "Hikari no Shards" sung by Yu Takahashi was also the top of the OP Theme Popularity Poll [2016 Summer Anime], which was closed earlier, making it the double top of the OP/ED combined. Although the song was not originally written as the theme song of an anime, it matches perfectly with the sad adolescent atmosphere of the work, and many people probably felt a sense of sadness every time they listened to the song. It is my impression that this ED theme song is a standout among this season's anime.

On the other hand, the battle for the second place and below continued to be close, but the one that won and kept the second place was "Love Live! Sunshine! Sunshine!" ED theme "Yume Utao Yori Yume Utao" (Aqours) won the close battle to retain second place. It goes without saying that "Love Live! is an idol anime that is currently at the peak of its popularity. The theme song is of course sung by the idol group "Aqours" that appears in the work, and the sense of unity with the work is very strong. Love Live! held the No. 2 spot due to its popularity and stable popularity.

The next song in third place was "Twinkle Starlight" (Sasaki Saka), the ED theme of Key's "planetarian ~Chiisana Hoshi no Yume~," which was distributed as a web anime this summer. The song's unique tragic atmosphere matched well with the work's unique atmosphere, leaving a deep and lingering impression.

Of note among the songs in fourth place and below is "Now Loading!!!!," the ED theme for "NEW GAME!" which came in fifth place with 578 votes. (CV. Yuuki Takada), Hifumi Takimoto (CV. Ai Yamaguchi), Hajime Shinoda (CV. Megumi Toda), Yun Iijima (CV. Ayumi Takeo)), which came in at No. 5 with 578 votes, and the ED theme "Koisuru Shapes" of "This Art Club Has Problems! s ED theme "Koisuru Shapes (cubic futurismo)" (Uesaka Sumire), which came in sixth place with 465 votes. Both of these works are comedy series that have become dark-horse popular among this season's summer anime, and both songs have in common the fact that they are ED themes sung by voice actors appearing in the works. In the sense that the popularity of the work is directly connected to the popularity of the ED theme, it can be said that this is a bright and fun song that left a very strong impression among this season's anime. In addition, "HIDE-AND-SEEK" (Kenichi Suzumura ), the ED theme of "Solder-kun," also gained popularity as a fun pop song sung by voice actor Kenichi Suzumura as an artist, and increased its votes in the last half of the season to reach 10th place.
