Wampan Autumn Festival" Official Report
On September 25, 2016 (Sunday), almost a year after the start of the broadcast, "One Pan Autumn Festival," an independent event of the TV anime "One Pan Man," which aired last year and attracted attention for its unique story with a unique tempo and overwhelming quality of drawings, was held in honor of Saitama and Sonic at the Saitama City Sonic City Large The festival was held at the Sonic City Grand Hall in Saitama City.
The event began with a countdown by the master-disciple duo of Saitama and Jenos, followed by the opening theme song by JAM Project, "THE HERO!
The opening theme song by JAM Project, "THE HERO! ~The audience was immediately excited by the live performance of the opening theme song "THE HERO! The voice actors then took the stage and challenged the audience to create balloon art of their characters. Hiroki Yasumoto, who plays the King, and Masaya Onosaka, who plays Pripuri Prisoner, took over as emcees from this point.
With both the audience and the voice actors revved up, it was time for the reading play corner. An extra episode of the original story, "Blow into New Wind" (included in the third volume of the original story), which was not shown in the main anime, was performed during the daytime performance, and "Prizun" (included in the fourth volume of the original story) was performed during the nighttime performance. The episode "Blowing New Wind" is about the Tatsumaki and Fubuki sisters' battle against the monster "Kaze-Kiki. In "Prizun," Sonic, imprisoned after his defeat by Cytama, takes advantage of Prizunor's escape to fight the Deep Sea King in a bridge episode. The audience was excited by this side story of a popular character.
Next up was the "Autumn Festival" corner of fair games and talks. The rules of the games were to try shooting, ring tossing, and ball scooping, and to talk about the topics written on the items they were able to catch. If they failed to catch the item or answer the question, they had to drink "Azuki Jelly Cider" or "Mozuku Soy Milk Ore" as a penalty. Each participant tried his or her best in the games, talks, and the penalty game.
The event turned around at this point. The second half of the event started with the original reading play "Festival! This reading play is available on Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc. This reading play was a sequel to the festival episode of the drama CD included in the Blu-ray & DVD, and was produced under the supervision of Mr. ONE. At the end of the reading, the entire audience sang and danced to a special "Wampan Autumn Festival" version of the "Wampan Ondo" song also included on the Blu-ray and DVD, creating an "Autumn Festival" experience.
Then, Hiroko Moriguchi, who sang the ending theme song, performed live. She sang two songs, "Hoshi yori yori sakimete aru" (I'll find you before the stars) and the special ending song for the final episode, "Sadness wo tachi wo oshikimete" (Embrace the sadness), bringing her clear voice to the audience. JAM Project took the stage again to perform "THE HERO! ~The mood of the venue finally reached its climax when JAM Project took the stage again and sang "THE HERO!
The lights dimmed, and suddenly the voice actors reappeared on stage, with Yasumoto-san, who plays the King, in the center. What began was a reading of the opening scene of the 38th episode "King," which is the episode after the last episode of the anime. In the scene, King encounters the monster Citano Beer in the city and fights off the enemy with only his king engine. After that, when King was alone and said, "......, how did this happen?", an image was shown on the screen announcing the decision to produce the second season, and the most important news of the day was announced. The real climax of the show was the announcement of the second season of the show. The climax of the show was the reunion of all the performers, including the artists, who celebrated the decision to produce a second season with the audience.
Ending comments
Shin Furukawa (Actor: Cytama)
As soon as I finished recording the first season, I knew I wanted to do a second season. On the radio and on various occasions, I have been saying "If there is a second season," "I want to do a second season," "I can't wait to see the second season," and "I've been saying that for a long time. Not only me, but also the cast and crew and all the fans have expressed their desire to see a second season, and it was through this desire that the decision to produce a second season was made. I am very, very happy. I am truly grateful for everyone's hard work and support. I can't stop being excited to think about the future of the "One Pan Man" story. There were times when I was worried that the "One Pan Fall Festival" would be the last time I would see "One Pan Man," but now I am here in front of you, in such a big hall, in front of so many people, and I am happy to tell you that the second season will be produced. Thank you very much! Please continue to support "One-Pan Man" from now on.
Kaito Ishikawa (Jenos)
I am really, really happy that the second season has been decided thanks to everyone's support. What makes me happy is that the S-class heroes who appeared in the first season had only a word or two to say, but I think they will have a lot to say in the second season. I can't help but look forward to that. And most of all, I am looking forward to Jenos talking a lot! Thank you very much for your support.
Hiroki Kaji (Sonic of Sound Speed)
I remember how excited I was to play Sonic, who has many scenes that I am looking forward to. One of them was the scene with the facial expression I drew on the balloon during the event (the last scene in #04 where he encounters Cytama in the forest) (laughs). I hope that you will continue to support the original work and look forward to the second season. Thank you very much for your time today.
Aoi Yuki (playing the role of Tatsumaki the Fearful)
I had a lot of fun today, being able to come to the festival with my sister and listening to so many wonderful songs. I sang a little bit too. Thank you so much for today, and I look forward to working with you again in the second season.
Saori Hayami (Jigoku no Fubuki)
We are very happy to announce the second season of the show, and I hope that you will pay attention to Mr. Fubuki's part in the second season, as the content of the original story has heightened expectations for the second season through the first season. Thank you very much for your time today.
Hiroki Yasumoto (King)
I had read the original manga before I decided on the role, and when I was told that I had been chosen to play the King, I wondered if I would be able to play that part and how it would turn out in one cool season, but I never got there (laughs). (Laughs.) I was thinking that it was a bit sad, and that that part was what made King so interesting, and then I heard about this second season. I am sure we will be able to get there this time. Please continue to support King, "One-Punch Man" and Mr. Cytama. Thank you very much for your time today.
Masaya Onosaka (playing the role of Pripuri Prisoner)
I really enjoyed today. I heard that the second season of the anime has been decided, but I'm not sure if I'll have a part in it! Thank you all very much!
JAM Project
I was so happy to be able to attend this event. JAM Project is currently on tour, and the songs from "One Pan Man" are the most exciting! Thank you very much for today.
Hiroko Moriguchi
I was really happy to be able to meet you all in person like this after 9 months, and to be able to enjoy the "One Pan Autumn Festival" with JAM Project and the voice actors. Thank you very much.
