TV anime "Blue Exorcist Kyoto Fujoou-hen" to start airing in January 2017!　Key visual by Kazue Kato, the original author, and PV are all revealed!

The TV anime "Blue Exorcist Kyoto Fujoou-hen" has announced that its broadcast will begin in January 2017.

Blue Exorcist" is an anime work based on Kazue Kato's manga serialized in Jump Square. This dark fantasy depicts the battle between demons and humans, centering on the brothers Rin, who is a child of Satan but decides to become an exorcist, and Yukio, who is an exorcist. The total number of copies of the original comics has exceeded 15 million.

In addition to the broadcast schedule, a new key visual by Kazue Kato, the first PV, and information on new characters and cast have been released. The new characters will be played by Takashi Inagaki as Tatsuma Katsuro, Katsuyuki Konishi as Juzo Shima, Noriaki Taniyama as Kinzo Shima, M.A.O. as Mamushi Hosho, and Kazuhiro Yamaji as Saburota Todo.

The series will air on MBS and other "Anime-ism" channels from January 2017.

New character and cast announcement
Tatsuma Katsuro (CV: Takashi Inagaki)
Tatsuma Katsuro (CV: Takashi Inagaki) is the father of Ryuji and the current head of the Meidas sect.
He is known behind his back as a "stinky monk" because of his uncharacteristic behavior, such as drinking alcohol in the daytime.
He is not on good terms with his son, Ryuji, who is trying to rebuild the temple.

Shima Juuzo (CV: Konishi Katsuyuki)
He is the second son of the Shima family and a second-grade Buddhist exorcist.
He looks mild-mannered but is surprisingly short-tempered.

Shima Kinzo (CV: Taniyama Noriaki)
The fourth son of the Shima family, he is as quarrelsome as Juzo.
He is a middle-to-second class Buddhist exorcist.

Housou Mamushi (CV: M.A.O.)
A first-class Buddhist exorcist who summons a snake (Naga) from his hand as a messenger.
He hates the Shima family and is especially close to Juzo.

Saburota Todo (CV: Kazuhiro Yamaji)
Formerly an instructor at an exorcism school, he comes from a prominent family that has produced exorcists for generations.
He is currently the head of the deepest division of the Japan Branch, where the "Left Eye of the Impure King" is sealed.
