It was announced that the box-office revenue of the animation film "聲の形" (The Shape of Voices), currently being screened, has exceeded 1.6 billion yen.

The Shape of Voices" is a theatrical anime based on the manga series by Ryotoki Ohimah, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2013 to 2014. The original work won the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award Shinsei Prize, the Comic Natalie Award, and the No. 1 prize in the Otoko section of the 2015 "This Manga is Amazing! Directed by Naoko Yamada of "K-ON! directed by Naoko Yamada of "K-ON!", script by Reiko Yoshida of "Girls und Panzer", character design by Taishi Nishiya of "Free!", and produced by Kyoto Animation.

It was announced that in its fourth week of release, the film drew an audience of 1.2 million and grossed over 1.6 billion yen. In addition, the distribution of additional admission gifts to commemorate the blockbuster success was also announced.
The additional admission gifts consisted of three types of large postcards featuring illustrations by character designer Taishi Nishiya, including the illustrations of "Masaya Ishida and Glasses Nishimiya (elementary school students)," which were displayed at the completion screening and in some theaters and were well received, and "Masaya Ishida (high school student)" and "Glasses Nishimiya (high school student)," which were drawn to match the illustrations. The "Masaya Ishida ≪High School Student≫" and "Glass Nishimiya ≪High School Student≫" illustrations were drawn to match the illustrations.
