Read-aloud play "Escacron" to be adapted into an anime!　General director is Seiji Mizushima, cast includes Chika Anzai and Kiyono Anno

An anime adaptation of the reading play "Escacron" has been announced.

Escacron" is a reading play performed at the event "'D-World' vol. 0" held at Hitotsubashi Hall on July 10, 2016. The heartwarming story of two girls, Esca and Kron, who come from a monochrome apocalyptic world where nothing exists, is performed by Chika Asai as Esca, a beautiful girl with long hair and clear eyes that give off a somewhat mysterious atmosphere, and by Kiyoeno Yasuno as Kron, who has a bright smile full of energy and charm. Kiono Anno plays the role of Cron, who is full of energy and has a bright smile.

Along with the announcement of the anime adaptation, a key visual and staff members have been unveiled. The general director is Seiji Mizushima of "Mobile Suit Gundam 00," the director is Hikaru Yamaguchi, who worked on "Gintama" and "Osomatsu-san," the script is by Tatsuya Takahashi of "THE IDOLM@STER/CINDERELLA GIRLS," the original character design is by Toru Minazuki of "ToHeart," the character designs are by Toru Mizunashi of "Aikatsu! More than 4 years ago, a music producer asked me to create a virtual character who sings songs and its backbone, involving Takahashi and Mizunashi. Escalon as a story is only to be hidden in the background of the song sung by the two. The main character is the music. The singer is a character, and the performer is not disclosed. It started as such a project. However, due to certain circumstances, time passed, and it took us four years to finish the original plan. However, when I was feeling sadness and relief that we had managed to finish the project and bring it to an end, I suddenly received an e-mail from the producer Tanaka. He asked me if I would like to do a reading of Escacron at an event, as the people in Escacron, Mr. Yasuno and Mr. Anzai, loved Escacron. The project, which had originally taken too long, unexpectedly came to be presented as the story of the characters played by the two. The speed from that point on was so fast that it was almost dizzying. During the rehearsal right before the reading performance, we were approached about the possibility of making an animated version of the play, and after many adjustments, we were able to make this announcement. The staff is also well prepared. The story of the two, which was only the backbone of the song, has evolved into something much greater with the love of Mr. Yasuno and Ms. Anzai as the catalyst and the involvement of many different people. The story of Escacron has only just begun, but we too will pour as much love as we can into it and continue to nurture it. Please give us your support.

I never dreamed that Escacron, which I was able to present to you in a reading for the first time just a few days ago, would be animated so soon! Even now, I can't stop being amazed. This project was born from a miraculous chance encounter. I wish... that the two Escacron members, who are like children to us, who met each other just after their debut and have grown up to this day, and the work itself, will be happy. May they bring happiness to you all. I hope that their journey will touch the hearts of many people and that they will be loved by many people. It is like a dream to be able to see the world of Escacron, which started as a song, in an animation with even more ways of expression.
It is like a dream. I was so happy to finally be able to see it in the light of day this year. I had only ever expressed Esca in song, but I was so happy to be able to convey it in words through the reading. I can't stop thinking that I will be able to see her gestures and expressions that I have never seen before in an animation... I can't stop going back to the recording studio to record it! (I can't stop myself from going to the postrecordings!)
I will do my best to make their story known and enjoyed by as many people as possible, with the help of the production team and myself.
I think it will be a very wonderful world.
