Director: Toshimasa Kuroyanagi Message
Toshimasa Kuroyanagi
If there are people who challenge with passion, I want to be the one who can respond to their passion. People who think like thatbecome a group, and push forward toward their goals.I want to portraysuch a figure as a familiar presence in our daily lives. This was my first thought when I became involved in this project.

When I read Mr. Miura's original story, I felt an urge to do something.I think it was because Iimagined Umashime, Nishioka, and the other members of the team moving forward on their own paths without slackening. I wondered if it would be possible to express this feeling as it is.I would like to think that even an ordinary day is not a waste of time.

I am grateful to the peoplearound me who are working hard to make this work as good as possible, andI hope that thepassion of the staffwill comfortably reach the people whowatch it through the screen.

There is still a long way to go before the "Great Waterscape" is completed, but Ihope that you will enjoy watching thehard work of the crew as they go through the process. We look forward to your continued support for the "Arc of the Boat" anime!
