The theme song for the animated film "Monster Strike the Movie," which will be released in theaters on December 10, has been announced.

Monster Strike" or "MonSt" is a smartphone game application by Mixi, Inc. that operates the social networking service "mixi" and is an RPG in which a party consisting of four monsters challenges quests. The animation, which is a condensed version of the game and has been distributed on YouTube since October 2015, has been highly popular, with a total of more than 100 million views worldwide on August 27, 2016. The movie "Monster Strike the Movie" will depict the "beginning story" of the anime.

It was announced that the theme song of the movie will be "Yume no Arika" sung by Naoto Inti Raymi. A special trailer featuring the song has also been released.

I am very honored to have written the theme song "Yume no Arika" for the animated movie "Monster Strike The Movie". The movie "MonSt" is a story about boys who grow up through their adventurous journey, like the movies "The Goonies" and "Stand By Me," which I also love. It is depicted with fresh descriptions and a magnificent view of the world. When I was a boy myself, my days were full of discovery and adventure.
This time, I wrote the lyrics for the theme song while comparing myself as a boy to the feelings of the main characters. I would be happy if I could enhance the charm of the movie even a little so that the boys and the adults who were once all children could enjoy the movie as well!
