It was announced that the box-office revenue of the animation film "聲の形" (The Shape of Voices), currently being screened, has exceeded 1.9 billion yen.

The Shape of Voices" is a theatrical anime based on the manga series by Ryotoki Ohimah, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2013 to 2014. The original work won the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award Shinsei Prize, the Comic Natalie Award, and the No. 1 prize in the Otoko section of the 2015 "This Manga is Amazing! Directed by Naoko Yamada of "K-ON! directed by Naoko Yamada of "K-ON!", script by Reiko Yoshida of "Girls und Panzer", character design by Taishi Nishiya of "Free!", and produced by Kyoto Animation.

In its sixth week of release, the film has grossed 1.9 billion yen and drawn more than 1.46 million viewers (as of October 23). In commemoration of the blockbuster success, it was also announced that the "35mm film" that was given as an admission present in the third week of the film's release will be redistributed.
