The milestone of sports anime "Ace wo Nerae! New Ace A Nerae! are now available in a BD-BOX!　Comments from Hideaki Anno, a big fan of the series, have also arrived!

TV animation "Ace wo Nererae! New Ace A Nerae! will appear in a Blu-ray box set.

Ace wo Nerae! New Ace A Nerae! is an animated TV series based on the manga of the same title serialized in "Weekly Margaret" (Shueisha) by Suzumika Yamamoto from 1973 to 1975. The drama featuring the main character, Hiromi Oka, the "butterfly lady" Reika Ryuzaki, the coach Hitoshi Munekata, and other memorable characters became popular mainly among boys and girls, creating a huge tennis boom, and the series was also directed by Tadashi Izaki, who directed "Ace wo Nerae! and the direction by Tadashi Izaki, director of "Ace Nerae!" continues to influence many animators.

The two films are now being released in a Blu-ray box set. Both films have been remastered in HD and will be available as a permanent preservation edition, allowing viewers to enjoy the masterpieces in beautiful picture quality. Ace wo Nererae! Blu-ray BOX will be released on December 14, and "Ace wo Nerae! Blu-ray BOX will be released on February 15, 2017, priced at 24,800 yen plus tax.

I started out with the anime "Ace wo Nerae! was the first anime I ever saw. I first saw a rerun of the old "Ace" when I was in high school. I knew that "Ace wo Nerae! is the image of Mr. Izaki, isn't it? The opening of the old "Ace" was wonderful, the story and direction were interesting, and the pictures with many stoppages were very beautiful. The style of painting that omitted unnecessary information was also fresh. The rerun was in the evening, so I went home and watched it right after school. After that, I was also quite absorbed in the original work. I read it with great enthusiasm even back then, and after I became a professional, I read it again before starting the work "Aim for the Top! I couldn't stop crying, and I was crying a lot in the studio. I knew I liked it. By the way, my first LDBOX purchase in my life was the old "Ace". You must like it that much. Also, the movie version, which contains so much content in 90 minutes, is the best. It is a wonderful movie.
