Card Captor Sakura the Movie" will be revived and screened from January 2017.

Cardcaptor Sakura" is a popular manga serialized in "Nakayoshi" (Kodansha) from 1996 to 2000 by CLAMP, a hit maker known for "Magic Knight Rayearth" and "XXXHOLiC". The popularity of the manga grew as it depicted the adventures of Sakura Kinomoto, a fourth grader who struggles to collect cards while solving crimes involving the "Crow Card," which, when unsealed, brings misfortune to the world. The popularity of the series accelerated even further when it was broadcast as a TV animation on NHK in 1998, and it became a huge boom that transcended gender and generation. In 2016, the 20th anniversary of the serialization, a new chapter, "Clear Card Arc," will begin, and a new anime is reportedly in the works, so the popularity of the series remains high.
