Anime "Chain Chronicle: Hexatus no Sen", "TIFF Ani! Report Arrival!　Akira Ishida and Daiki Yamashita talk about the highlights

An official report of the event has arrived from the anime "Chain Chronicle: HEXETAS no Sen".

Chain Chronicle" by SEGA is a smartphone RPG that started distribution on July 26, 2013, and has been downloaded more than 5 million times and is still supported by many users even though it has reached its third anniversary. The anime adaptation of this work is "Chain Chronicle: HEXETAS no Sen", and a special edition of all three chapters will be shown at events for three consecutive months prior to the TV anime broadcast starting in January 2017. Chapter 1" will be screened from December 3, 2017, "Chapter 2" from January 14, 2017, and "Chapter 3" from February 11, 2017, each for a limited two-week run.
The director and character designer is Masashi Kudo of "BLEACH" fame, and the animation production will be handled by Telecom Animation Film and Graphinica.

The official report from the special talk show held on October 31 at the TIFF Ani‼ event "TIFF Ani‼ Part 1: Tokyo International Film Festival's Best Anime Special Stage" has now arrived. Akira Ishida, who plays the main character Yuri, Daiki Yamashita, who plays Aram, and director Masashi Kudo took the stage at the event and talked about the highlights of the film.

I was so happy when I heard that it was going to be made into an anime.
I was very happy. I was surprised to hear that it would be made into an anime in two stages, and I was very happy to hear that!

─ ─ In the smartphone application, I played many roles by myself. With the film adaptation, you were like, "How many roles shall I play this time? Did you feel like you had a lot to do this time?
(In the smartphone app) I played about 40 roles (laughs). (laughs) But this time, it was more like, "How many roles shall I play?" (laughs). It was more like, "How many roles will I play this time? (laughs). It's hard to play different roles, so... (laugh).
(Director Kudo told me that he had a plan to have Mr. Ishida play multiple roles.
(When Director Kudo told me that he had planned for you to play more than one role.) (Laughs.) It was more a matter of "momentum" than a knack. I took inspiration from the visuals. I'm glad I only played one role this time. But to be honest, I thought I could play the original character Aram (played by Daiki Yamashita)... (laughs).

The volunteer army led by Yuri starts out defeated and depressed after returning home, so they have no choice but to go up! Even if you do your best, there are quite a few hurdles to overcome before you reach the Black King, the final boss. I hope you will look forward to it!

I was afraid that the climax of the film would leave the audience behind, but (after seeing the audience's reaction today) I decided to give it a try and trust you all! I thought I would leave you all behind. I hope you will enter this worldview. I wanted to make sure that the parts that impressed me when I played the game would be included in the anime. Also, I hope you will enjoy it because the world would be too small if I did not depict the parts of the game that are not depicted in the game.
