Anime "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt" to Begin Second Season in Spring 2017!　A special video featuring Atlas Gundam is also released!

Production of the second season of the "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolts" anime has been announced.

Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolts" is a manga serialized in "Big Comics Superior" (Shogakukan) by Yasuo Otagaki, known for "MOONLIGHT MILE" and other works. From December 2015 to April 2016, all four anime episodes were distributed for a fee, and in June 2016, the director's cut version "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt DECEMBER SKY" with new cuts was shown at an event. When I heard the news of the sequel, I thought, "I knew it! I thought, "I knew it! Of course, I myself wanted to see it happen, andsince I had received enthusiastic reactions at the theater and on SNS, I was actually expecting it. The decision to do a sequel was made possible thanks to the support of all the fans.

I drew the manga as a challenge to the anime staff, so I myself am very much looking forward to seeing the answers presented by the anime staff again.

I didn't think I would be able to make a sequel, and I had intended to finish the previous four episodes, so when I heard the news of the sequel decision, I felt as if I had received a bonus. However, when it came time to make the sequel, I read the original manga story in more detail and found that the structure of the story had changed drastically from the previous one and there were many difficult issues, so I felt a lot of pressure. It was difficult to create the structure, but I believe that because of the trouble we went through, we were able to create something satisfying and pleasing to our fans.
