The Japanese trailer for the animated film "Moana and the Legend of the Sea" was released on March 10, 2017.



Moana and the Legend of the Sea" is the latest film from Disney Animation, which is still fresh in our minds after the historic success of "Anna and the Snow Queen" and "Zootopia". The film tells the story of the adventures of Moana, a 16-year-old girl who is destined to become a part of the ocean after an experience in her childhood, and who has the special power to be loved by the ocean. The film is directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, the golden duo of master filmmakers who have worked on such classics as "The Little Mermaid" and "Aladdin.

The trailer for the Japanese version of the film, which has been released this time, features Grandma Tara, the island's eccentric and Moana's only friend, and Maui, the legendary hero and master of transformation whom Moana meets during her journey, and who holds the key to the story.


The film was released in the U.S. on November 23 (Wed.), and has reportedly surpassed "Anna and the Snow Queen" and "Rapunzel in the Tower" in its opening weekend, grossing over $15.68 million on its first day alone. The release of the trailer has also heightened expectations for the film's release in Japan.
