Manga "Baki" to be adapted into TV anime! The popular episode from the second part of the original work, "The Deadliest Prisoner on Death Row," will be adapted into a film!

A TV anime adaptation of the manga "Baki" has been decided.

The "Baki" series is a popular fighting manga series serialized by Keisuke Itagaki in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten) since 1991, depicting battles between the youngest underground fighting champion, Baki Hanma, and various martial arts masters. A total of 63 million copies of the manga have been sold, and OVAs and TV anime have been produced in the past. To date, there have been 123 volumes of comics plus 3 extra volumes, as well as numerous spin-offs.

The new TV series will be drawn from the "Deadliest Death Row Prisoner Arc" of Part 2 "Baki," a sequel to Part 1 "Grappler Baki," which was made into an anime in 2001. The "Deadliest Prisoners Arc" is one of the most popular episodes in the series, in which the most dangerous prisoners on death row clash with Baki and other arena fighters in a no-rules battle. It has been announced that the OAD that comes with the limited edition of "Baki: The Deadliest Convicts" Volume 14, which will be released on December 6, will include the "Baki: The Deadliest Convicts SP Anime," which is the first video clip of the first scene in which the five deadliest death row convicts appear.
The OAD included in the limited edition of volume 14 of "Baki: Baki" is "Saishin Shiken Hen"! The popular episode of the second part of the series, "Baki," is being filmed for the first time!

The new visual released this time depicts the main character, Hanma Baki, who has become even stronger after repeated discussions with Itagaki-san, the author of the original manga. The dynamic figure of Baki, who is full of energy, foreshadows even more extreme and heated battle scenes than those in the previous film.
Further information will be announced in "Weekly Shonen Champion" as needed.
