Today, December 12 (Mon.) from 19:00 to 20:00, "Dance Cube Cafe" held an event to celebrate the collaboration between "Dance Cube Cafe" and "Yuri! on ICE," Mitsuro Kubo, who is the original designer, name designer (script draft), and character designer of the film, and Kenji Miyamoto, choreographer of the figure skating choreography, took the stage. In addition to the first exhibition of original drawings by Jumpei Tachinaka and Eiji Yasuhiko, who are in charge of figure skating animation, the audience was also treated to a special exhibition of original drawings created to commemorate the talk show, which featured the main character Katsuki, the protagonist of "Yuri! on ICE," the main character Yuri Katsusho's FS (freeskating) costume, which was created to commemorate the talk show, was unveiled. The participants, who were chosen by lottery to receive a limited number of 50 slots, welcomed the two on stage with loud applause and were intoxicated by their talk, which included secret stories about the production of the film.

Director Sayo Yamamoto was the first person to meet Mr. Kubo, and within six months from there, he was working on "Yuri! on ICE" about six months after meeting Mr. Kubo through director Sayo Yamamoto. At first, he imagined a "fantasy figure skating anime" in which a tornado would occur when the skaters spun. I decided to accept the project right away. In a talk about the choreography work, he talked about a training camp where they rented out a figure skating rink late at night and held a training camp for about a week from midnight to early morning. The staff of the animation production company worked almost all the way through the filming, and Mr. Miyamoto hurt his shoulder from the first day, but the staff was dressed in skinny jeans and rolled-up jeans, and he said, "It must be cold! Mr. Miyamoto commented on how hard but enjoyable the work was. During the talk, Mr. Miyamoto received some heated looks from male visitors and asked if he could take off his glasses to avoid embarrassment, which drew laughter. The talk proceeded in an at-home atmosphere from start to finish.

There were also behind-the-scenes stories about specific character choreography. For the FS (Free Skating) of Kazakhstan's Otabek Altin, whose performance scene has yet to be shown in the film, he was asked to "imagine the founding of a nation," and after a grandiose image was conceived, he was asked to choreograph the FS of the Kazakhstani athlete "Agriculture. After thinking of a grand image, he came up with the idea of "agriculture". This FS is scheduled to appear in the Grand Prix Final from episode 11 onward, so be sure not to miss it. The audience was also surprised to hear that the choreography that Yuuri, Victor, and Julio danced in the opening film was a combination of the choreography of Michele Crispino, a member of the Italian national team, and Yuuri's choreography. The opening theme "History Maker" is a three-beat song, so the choreography was adopted because of that connection.

What is the reaction to "Yuri! on ICE" was asked, "What is the reaction of the people around you to Yuri! Kubo-san was delighted when Miyamoto-san revealed that "real figure skaters are really watching" and that even foreign skaters say to him, "Kenji, I'm watching Yuri" or that he is "Kenji of Yuri. Yuri Katsusho's FS (Free Skating) costume, on display for the first time, was also the focus of much attention. The costume, which was created in such a high quality that it could be used in an actual performance, was so sexy that the inner lining was transparent. The audience cheered in yellow, and Ms. Kubo said, "Eventually, I would like to hold a costume exhibition. The costumes and choreography are original and each has its own meaning, so I can present them with confidence. After that, Mr. Miyamoto held a drawing for gifts. We were prepared with T-shirts from Charme JAPAN, a brand produced by Mr. Miyamoto that is also worn by Kenjiro Minami, a Japanese figure skater in the film. When Mr. Kubo asked the audience where they lived in response to his wish to give a gift to those who came from far away, the names of prefectures such as Hokkaido, Niigata, Shizuoka, and Ibaraki popped up one after another, surprising even Mr. Kubo who asked them. Even Mr. Kubo was surprised by the results. The popularity of this work among the fans gathered from all over Japan was once again evident.

The talk show ended with a call for support for the climax of the series, which will soon reach its climax. There are only two episodes left to air. The story continues to exceed viewers' expectations, and we can't wait to see how the story will end.

In addition, the first volume of the Blu-ray & DVD will be released soon on December 30 (Fri.). It is a must-have item that also includes a choreography video by Kenji Miyamoto.
