The manga "Shogun's Altair" will be adapted into a TV anime in 2017.

Altair of the Kingdom of the Shogun" is a manga by Kotono Katou, serialized in "Monthly Shonen Sirius" (Kodansha). Set in Torkiye Shogunate, a country of steppes and deserts ruled by a ruler called Shogun (Pasha), this popular work delicately depicts Mahmut, the youngest Shogun in Torkiye history, as he takes on interstate conspiracies and plots.

This time, it was revealed that the new anime project "PROJECT ALTAIR" directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi and MAPPA was in fact the "Shogun's Altair" anime adaptation.
