Winter anime "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju - Sukeroku Again -" and Yose event "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju Yose - Shinjuku, Asakusa, Ikebukuro Rakugo Festival -" were held!

The event "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju Yose - Shinjuku, Asakusa, Ikebukuro Rakugo Festival -" will be held from the anime "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju - Sukeroku Again -," which will start in January 2017.

Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" is a manga serialized in "ITAN" (Kodansha) by Haruko Kumoda. The story centers on Yorakutei Yakumo, a lone rakugo storyteller who is called "the last master of the Showa era," and Yotaro, who fell in love with his rakugo and became his apprentice.
In January 2017, the second season "Sukeroku Again Arc", which depicts Yotaro who became a professional actor and succeeded the name of "Sukeroku", will be adapted into a movie.

On January 31, 2017, "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju Yose - Shinjuku, Asakusa, Ikebukuro Rakugo Festival", a one-night only Rakugo Shinju Yose festival, will be held. The three venues will be Suehirotei (Shinjuku), Asakusa Engei Hall, and Ikebukuro Engei Hall. All-star rakugo performers will gather at each of the three venues and perform all the pieces that appear in the story, and Haruko Kumoda, the author of the original story, will be a guest at the Suehirotei.

Please note that the performers, performance time, etc. will differ at each venue.
