Winter Anime "Onihei" and Web Radio "Keno Horiuchi's Onihei Radio" to be Distributed!　Enjoy the anime more deeply!

A web radio distribution has been announced for the TV anime "Onihei," which will start in January 2017.

Based on Shotaro Ikenami's historical novel series "Onihei Hankacho" (Bungeishunju), which has sold a total of 27 million copies. Set in Edo (present-day Tokyo), the series has gained popularity for its depiction of Hasegawa Heizo, the "Hitsuke Touzoku Aaratamekata" (a thief who changes the order of thieves by lighting fires), as he brings the villains to justice. The work has been widely adapted into live-action dramas and manga, but this is the first time it has been made into an anime. Produced by Masao Maruyama of "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" and "Summer Wars," directed and character designed by Shigeyuki Miya of "BUZZER BEATER" and "Lupin III: GREEN vs RED," produced by TMS Entertainment, and animated by Studio M2.

On the official website of the anime, it was announced that a web radio program "Onihei Radio by Keno Horiuchi" will start. The program will be performed by Keno Horiuchi, who plays Heizo Hasegawa, and MC Risa Shimizu. The program will introduce the charms and highlights of each episode, and will also include a "Onihei Story" corner where Horiuchi will share his famous lines as Heizo, allowing the audience to enjoy "Onihei" more deeply.

The radio program will consist of 14 episodes, the first of which will be broadcast from 24:00 on January 6 (Fri.). In the first episode, the radio station will explain the position of "Fire-working Thieves Reformer" and talk about the first episode, "Blood-headed Tanbei". From then on, it will be distributed every Friday at 24:00 midnight, so don't miss it.
