Manga "Whale Children Sing on the Sand" to be adapted into anime! Comments from the original author, Abi Umeda, and newly drawn illustrations are now available!

The manga "Whale Children Sing on the Sand" will be adapted into an anime.



Whale Children Sing on the Sand" is a manga serialized in "Monthly Mystery Bonita" (Akita Shoten) by Abi Umeda. Set in a world where sand covers everything, this fantasy work delicately depicts Chakuro, a boy recorder who lives on a giant drifting ship called "Mud Whale. It was also nominated for the "Next Coming Manga Award" and ranked 10th in the "Onna" section of "This Manga is Amazing!


The anime adaptation was announced in the February issue of "Mystery Bonita," which went on sale Friday, January 6. The announcement page for the anime adaptation ( # ) has also been opened, and on the page, an illustration newly drawn by the original author, Abi Umeda, as well as comments from the author are now available.
