Sumi Shimamoto as Clarice
The car chase scene was very realistic and memorable. If you watch it with your mouth open, you will see splashes of water in your mouth, so please watch it with your mouth closed (laugh). I especially like the scene in which Lupin is jumping high and high off the roof, and I felt that the movement was very well matched to the scene. When I listen to my performance again 38 years after the film's initial release, I find myself in a reflective mode. I think I can understand why the ideal woman among men is Clarice.
■Animator: Kazuhide Tomonaga
I was skeptical when I first started watching the movie, but the scene in the clock tower was especially realistic. I guess it would be even more realistic if I saw it on a big screen. I think it's good that the movements are so crisp and clear. In the future, the production staff may have to take into account the movements of the MX4D(R) as well. In "Cagliostro's Castle," the camera is fixed, but it might be interesting to add movement if there are shaky scenes like in recent animated films.
