The three OVA "Megazone 23" series will be released as a single volume on Blu-ray! A CD reprint of the unpublished BGM collection will be included as a bonus with the purchase of all three volumes!

It was announced that all three "Megazone 23" OVAs released in the 1980s will be released on Blu-ray as a single volume for each series.

Megazone 23" was a blockbuster series of OVAs in the early days of OVAs, with the staff of "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross" playing a central role in the first "Megazone 23" released in 1985, the second "Megazone 23 Part II" in 1986, and the third "Megazone 23 III" in 1989.
Noboru Ishiguro, who directed "The Legend of the Galactic Heroes" and other works, and Toshihiro Hirano (first work: now Toshitaka Hirano), Yasuomi Umezu (second work), and Hiroyuki Kitazume (third work) participated in character design. The character "Tokimatsuri Eve," who plays a central role in the story, is a character designer who has worked on "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross" and "Aim for the Top! and "Kabaneri of the Iron Castle," and has recently been in charge of character design for "Kabaneri of the Iron Castle.
The work has also had a number of influences on subsequent anime productions, including the worldview of the artificial giant city spaceship "Megazone," the futuristic motorcycle "Garland" with a variable mechanism, and "Tokimatsuri Eve," the prototype of the "virtual idol.

In 2015, "Megazone 23 Blu-ray Archive BOX -30th ANNIVERSARY EDITION-" was released as a package of the three works, and now each series is being released as a single volume on Blu-ray. Each volume will be released on April 7.
