Set in Shibuya in 2015, the story follows Takuru Miyashiro, a boy who attends Hekiho Gakuen, a private high school newly established in the town that has recovered from the "Shibuya Earthquake," a major disaster that occurred six years ago, as he pursues a serial murder case dubbed "the return of the New Generation's madness" as part of the activities of the newspaper club he established.
