Spring Anime "ATOM the Beginning" Announces Cast Information!　Yuichi Nakamura, Takuatsu Terashima, Yuki Inoue

The first casting information has been announced for the TV anime "Atom the Beginning," which will start in spring 2017.

Atom the Beginning" is a manga work serialized in "Monthly Heroes" and tells the story of the birth of Osamu Tezuka's eternal hero "Astro Boy". The anime is produced under the supervision of Makoto Tezuka, with Masami Yuki of "Tetsuwan Birdie" fame as the original planner for the concept work, and Tetsuro Kasahara of "RIDEBACK" fame in charge of manga production.
The TV anime will be directed by Katsuyuki Motohiro of "Odoru Daisousasen" and "PSYCHO-PASS Psycho-Pass" as general director, Tatsuo Sato of "Moretsu Uchu Kaizoku" as director, and Junichi Fujisaki of "BLOOD+" as series composition.

The first cast information was announced this time. Yuichi Nakamura will play the role of Goutaro Tenma, Takuatsu Terashima will play Hiroshi Ochanomizu, and Yuki Inoue will play A106, a robot created by the two.

Goutaro Tenma (CV: Yuichi Nakamura)
He is a graduate student at Nerima University's Laboratory 7, where he conducts research on robots. He is a genius with absolute confidence in his ideas and technology, and his attitude can sometimes come across as arrogant. However, for some reason, he and Ochanomizu get along well and conduct joint research.
Whenever something happens, he and Ochanomizu pick each other's noses and communicate with each other.

Hiroshi Ochanomizu (CV: Takuatsu Terashima)
Like Tenma, Hiroshi Ochanomizu is a graduate student at Nerima University's Laboratory 7, where he conducts research on robots. He has a kind and friendly personality and always follows Goutarou, who tends to go off the rails at his own pace at times.
His trademark is his natural perm and distinctive round nose, but women seem to be less impressed by them.

Astro Boy" is a title that I have heard of at least once, even if I have never seen the movie.
Although I myself am not of the generation that watched the original manga and anime, the appearance of Atom naturally comes to mind.
Isn't it exciting just to imagine the story before Atom was born?
I will do my best to play the role as one of my major tasks in 2017. I am looking forward to it.

Takuatsu Terashima as Hiroshi Ochanomizu
I still can't believe that I will be the voice of that Dr. Ochanomizu!
I will do my best to play the role of Hiroshi, a young man full of energy who loves science and dreams of the future.
I was excited to read the original story every time a book was published.
I will do my best as one of the parts so that many more people will be excited by the anime!

Yuki Inoue as A106
My name is Yuki Inoue and I will be playing the role of A106.
I was really happy when I heard the news.
Although it is not clearly stated that Six is the future Astro Boy, the role of Six will definitely lead to the birth of Astro Boy.
I was given this major role, even though I was still an inexperienced voice actor. I will face this challenge with all sincerity.
I will do my best to deliver a better work to everyone!
