Anime "Toukendanbu Hanamaru", Event "Hanamaru ◎Biyori" Report Arrives! The decision to produce a sequel was also revealed.

An event report has arrived from the TV anime "Touken Ranbu - Hanamaru-.



The TV anime "Toukendanbu-Hanamaru" is based on the sword training simulation game "Toukendanbu-ONLINE-", popular mainly among women, and was aired in the fall of 2016. It depicts the earnest and carefree lives of the "sword men" who are inspired to prevent the alteration of history by "historical revisionists. Directed by Takashi Naoya, character design by Junichiro Taniguchi, series composition and script by Pierre Sugiura, and animation production by Animation Studio.


The official report from the "Special Event Hanamaru◎ Day! The 14 cast members participated in the event, which was attended by 20,000 fans during the day and night with live performances and a wide variety of corners. The event will be included in the DVD to be released on June 21, 2017 (Wednesday), and the production of a sequel was announced at the end of the event.

Event Report
On February 5 (Sun.), "Special Event Hanamaru◎Biyori! was held at Makuhari Messe on February 5 (Sun.), featuring voice cast members Mitsuhiro Ichirai (Yamatomori Stable), Toshiki Masuda (Kashu Kiyomitsu), Tarsuke Aragaki (Heshikiri Hasebe/Hasezone Toratetsu), Daiki Yamashita (Imaken/Atsu Toushiro), Kazuyuki Okitsu (Hachisuga Toratetsu), Kento Hama (Mutsu Mamoru Yoshiyuki), Kaito Ishikawa (Utasen Kanetada), Seiichiro Yamashita (Yakken Toshiro/Aizome Kunitoshi), Takuya Sato (Candlestick Mitsutada/Ezuki Left Character), Tomoaki Maeno (Yamambagiri Kunihiro), Ryota Asari (Hirano Toshiro/Akashi Kuniyuki), Junya Enoki (Horikawa Kunihiro), Kosuke Toriumi (Mikazuki Munekika) and Atsushi Tamaru (Isshiki Ichiki). The cast members appeared wearing colorful Japanese-patterned haori. The day and night sessions were attended by approximately 20,000 fans, who welcomed the event with loud cheers.

The event started with a live performance of the opening theme song "Hanamaru◎Biyori! by Ichiki-san and Masuda-san! The bright voices of the singers got the audience all excited.

The event then moved on to the various corners where each of the swordsmiths served as facilitators.
The first, "Heshikiri Hasebe & Imaken Project: Hanamaru Petition," was a corner where the cast members who appeared at the event were asked to make various wishes come true. The first was "I wish for you to say a key line in a battle scene." "I want you to shout out 'Death by falling headlong' with all your might." The cast members did their best to deliver the lines.
The "Candlestaikiri Mitsutada & Horikawa Kunihiro Project - It would be cooler if the answers did not cover each other" was a quiz corner where the 12 participants answered the questions so that their answers would not cover each other. In the "What's the dish that Candlestaikiri cooks for dinner? If you could go back in time to your favorite era, what era would it be? The cast members whose answers were the same were asked to answer the question "What is your favorite time period? The cast members whose answers were covered by the questions were subjected to hard punishment games such as "squatting" and "thigh lifts. ......
Then, in the "Toratetsu Hachisuga & Kunihiro Yamambakiri Project - Let's Make a Super Swordsman" section, teams were divided into teams to coordinate mannequins using various items to create a wonderful super swordsman. The unique and artistic (?) styles of the super swordsmen were created. The audience laughed at the unique and artistic (?) styles of the super swordsmen that were created. The audience was also excited to see Mr. Ishikawa, who for some reason transformed himself into a super swordsman wearing a mask, helmet, and armor.


After the three varied corners, the stage turned to the live corner.

Kanetaro Itagaki, who sings the theme song for the browser game "Touken Ranbu-ONLINE-" and the smartphone game "Touken Ranbu-ONLINE-Pocket," appeared on stage and sang "Mugen Ranbu Sho. His lustrous voice captivated the audience.


After the powerful live performance, the cast members reappeared on stage for the "Yakken Fujishiro & Isshiki Isshiki Project: Let's do live postrecording. The swordsmen enthusiastically acted out the scenes from the film. The 14 members of the cast performed the opening scene of the first episode in which the sword fighters appear one after another, a heartwarming scene typical of "Hanamaru," and a powerful battle scene, all with a lot of charm.


Then came the live performance by Ichigori-San and Masuda-San. They sang "Dawn Diary," the ending song of the first episode. The live stage performance was the last part of the event.


As the event came to an end, each member of the cast gave a word of thanks to the fans.

Finally, the cast members shouted "Toukendanbu~! to which the entire audience responded with a loud "Hanamaru! The event was a great success.

The event seemed to end at this point, but suddenly a special video was shown on the stage with various famous scenes from the TV anime, along with the announcement "Sequel! appeared along with various famous scenes from the TV anime. This surprise news was greeted with the loudest cheers of the day from the audience.

The DVD of this successful event, which included a special talk by the cast members, variety, live performances, and live recording, will be released on June 21, 2017 (Wednesday)!
