Manga "Inuyasha" to be adapted for the stage! Featuring Yutaka Kiyatake of Golden Bomber, Yumi Wakatsuki of Nogizaka46, and others!

A stage adaptation of the manga "Inuyasha" has been decided.



Inuyasha" is a manga serialized by Rumiko Takahashi in "Weekly Shōnen Sunday" (Shogakukan) from 1996 to 2008. Set in the Warring States period, the manga depicts the activities of a half-demon boy, Inuyasha, and a time-slipped junior high school student, Kagome Higurashi, and was a popular TV animation series broadcast from 2000 to 2004.


It was announced that a stage production of this work will be staged at the Tennozu Ginga Theatre starting April 6, 2017. The main character Inuyasha will be played by Yutaka Kiyatake of the visual-kei air band Golden Bomber, the heroine Kagome Higurashi will be played by Yumi Wakatsuki of Nogizaka46, the maiden Kikyo who once sealed Inuyasha will be played by Junna Ito of Nogizaka46, and Inuyasha's arch enemy Naraku will be played by Ryo Kimura, an actor.
