Animation film "In This Corner of the World," "Suzu-san's Thank You" movie is released! Recorded by Non Non and supervised by Sunao Katabuchi

Suzu-san's Thank You" movie has been released from the anime movie "In a Corner of the World" in theaters now.



The film is based on Fumiyo Kono's manga serialized in Manga Action (published by Futabasha). The film depicts the lives of people in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture, during the 1940s and 1945s, as depicted by Suzu, a young girl who married at the age of 18. The film is directed by Sunao Katabuchi, director of "Mai Mai Shinko and the Magic of a Thousand Years," who spent six years meticulously researching Kure during and after World War II and verifying the period.

The film ranked 9th in the nationwide weekend movie attendance ranking (according to Kogyo Tsushinsha) on January 28 and 29, the 12th week after its release, and was in the top 10 for 12 consecutive weeks, drawing more than 1.3 million viewers. In appreciation of the large number of viewers who came to see the main character, Suzu, a movie newly recorded by Non-san, who plays Suzu, under the supervision of director Sunao Katabuchi, has been released on You Tube.
In this one-minute movie, NON conveys her feelings of "Thank you" in the voice of the main character, SUZU, to people all over Japan.


The movie will be shown in 73 new theaters from February 4 (including re-screenings), and starting with Mexico on March 3, it will be shown in 23 countries and regions around the world, including the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Mexico, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
