A TV anime adaptation of the manga "Aho Girl" has been announced.



The manga, which is serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), is a comedy about the daily life of a high school girl, Yoshiko Hanabatake, who is just too stupid to be an idiot, her childhood friend Akira Akutsu (Akkun), and other unique people. It is a popular work that has sold more than 1 million copies in its eight-volume series.


It has been announced that the work will be adapted into a TV anime this summer. The main staff has also been announced, with Keizo Kusakawa of "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's" and "Wind Summer" as general director, Shingo Tamaki of "Fleet Kitsune Kushyon the Movie" (assistant director) and "Girlish Number" (animation director) as director, and YuruYuri and Gavril Dropout"), and character design by Takashi Asashi of "Invasion!
