Ai Nakajima resumes her artist activities!　New single "Watashi no Sekai" is full of love!

Ai Nakajima, a.k.a. "Mamegu," has returned to the music scene after a three-year hiatus. In December last year, she showed her energy at "Ai Nakajima Ai Return Free Live "TADAIMA. The song, which is the ending theme of the TV anime "Kazatsu," is a refreshing song that anticipates the coming season. But that's not all this CD has to offer!　All three songs, including the coupling, celebrate Mamegu's return to the music scene. We spoke with her about her wonderful restart.

─ ─ First of all, congratulations on your return. We have been waiting for you.

Nakajima: Thank you very much. I feel very lucky to be able to announce my return and the release of my new single.

───Your return announcement was made last December, and the response from fans was great.

Nakajima: I wondered if people would remember me since I had been absent for three years. I was worried about whether people would remember me since I had taken a break for three years, but I was surprised to see how many people had read my Twitter and blog that I started when I announced my return. It was the first time I realized that so many people had been waiting for me.

───What was your state of mind leading up to your return?

Nakajima: Around the beginning of last spring, I began to feel that I wanted to sing again, and at that time I was invited to perform as a secret guest at the "Graduation Ceremony - TAMAYURA Last Event", the last event of the "Tamayura" anime series, held in Takehara City, Hiroshima Prefecture. After the event, a staff member asked me, "Wouldn't you like to sing again? I reflexively answered, "I want to sing! I answered, "Yes, I do.

──Did you have this desire to sing again the whole time you were absent?

Nakajima Yes, I did. I always had the feeling that "I want to sing again someday," and I gradually recharged it. And when I stood on the stage of "Tamayura," my feelings overflowed.

─ ─ It makes a lot of sense that "Tamayura" was the catalyst for your return.

Nakajima I had opportunities to sing character songs at events of works during my absence, but it had been a long time since I stood on stage as Ai Nakajima, and I realized that this was what it meant to sing. It was an opportunity for me to sing in "Tamayura," a work that I am deeply attached to, and it was on stage in Takehara, so I felt that it was fate. If it had not been for that event, I might not have been able to resume my activities, so I am very grateful.

Nakajima: It was a lot of fun to have so many people there and to sing five songs.

─ When you appeared on stage, I thought you were a little nervous.

Nakajima: I appeared through a door at the back of the stage, and when it opened, I was overwhelmed by the sight in my eyes. But as I sang and looked at each audience member's face, the tension eased away.

─ As you mentioned in the MC, Venus Fort is a place that holds fond memories for you, doesn't it?

Nakajima It was the place where I held my debut event as Lanka Lee = Ai Nakajima. 8 years ago, but when I stood on stage at the rehearsal, memories of those days came vividly to my mind. I felt confident that I had experienced many live performances since then.

─ ─ Your chic outfit made you look more mature in your return live.

Nakajima: The clothes helped me to look more mature (laughs). I tried a different taste in the new song, and my own feelings have changed over the past three years, so I think the outfit was very good.
