The next stage will be Budokan! Report on "BanG Dream! 3rd☆LIVE Sparklin' PARTY 2017!" which was filled with great emotion and excitement.
On February 5, 2017, the girls' band "Poppin'Party," featuring the main cast of the currently airing TV anime "BanG Dream! (Bandri!)", a girls' band featuring the main cast members of "Poppin'Party", held its 3rd live on February 5, 2017.
BanG Dream!" is a next generation girl band project that is currently being developed through various media mixes, including a manga serialized in the monthly Bushiroad magazine. The story is based on a novel by Nakamura Wataru, a novelist known for his works "Debyukuro-kun no Koi to Mahou" and "100 times crying". The live performances of the girl band "Poppin'Party" have been very popular. In addition to the TV anime currently being broadcast, a music smartphone game is scheduled to be released this spring.
■"Poppin'Party" is challenging (the situation of) an outdoor live performance in a park!
The stage for this live was "TOKYO DOME CITY HALL", the same venue as the 2nd live held in November last year; although it was the same venue as 3 months ago, the situation surrounding "Poppin'Party" had changed drastically with the release of the 3rd and 4th singles and the start of anime broadcasting. What kind of performance did the five members give?
The live started with a reading play by "Poppin'Party" members. Poppin'Party" was to hold their first outdoor live performance at the park. The venue already had a large audience, and the members could see the glow of psylliums for some reason, even though it was during the daytime. It was as if the characters from the anime had jumped out into the three-dimensional world, or perhaps we had jumped into the two-dimensional world. The live performance started with a sense of atmosphere unique to this work enveloping the audience!
The curtain rose on the day with the title of the work, "Yes! The performance, which began with Ohashi's powerful count, gave the audience a greater sense of unity than ever before, and the excitement of the audience quickly reached a climax. It was impressive to see Mr. Ito and Mr. Otsuka happily making eye contact with each other during the performance. The hearts of not only the audience at the venue but also those in the live viewing room were touched when Aimi shot the floor with her index finger in time with the familiar call of "BanG Dream!
Each member sang and performed solo on their 3rd single, "Hashirushite no Kimi ni" which was released in December last year. The audience cheered loudly for the performance, which was both worth listening to and watching.
In the first MC session, the members of "Poppin'Party" performed their signature poses for the first time, showing that the band was becoming more and more united.
The first song was from the anime "Little Busters! opening "Littele Busters! The first song was "Littele Busters!", the opening song of the anime "Little Busters! Aimi-san, Otsuka-san, and Nishimoto-san performed and sang vocals for "Alchemy," a song from the anime "Angel Beats! Finally, everyone performed "DISCOTHEQUE," the opening song of the anime "Rosario and Vampire CAPU2. The parade of popular numbers known to all anime fans only increased the excitement of the audience.
In the acoustic corner, they performed "STAR BEAT! ~Hoshinokodou~" and "Poppin' Shakkafuru". Both songs have an impressive upper band sound, but the acoustic arrangement of the songs showed the warm and friendly atmosphere of the members, which must have soothed the audience's hearts.
Roselia made a surprise appearance! Gothic and hard-hitting performance!
As the live performance was about to turn around, the reading play corner started again. In front of "Poppin'Party," who had successfully performed an outdoor live concert, the group performed the smartphone game to be released this spring, "Bandolier! Girls Band Party! which will be released this spring. They were to perform live, and to our surprise, Aina Aiba (vocalist, Yukina Minato), Haruka Kudo (guitarist, Sayo Hikawa), Yurika Endo (bassist, Risa Imai), Megu Sakuragawa (drummer, Akko Udagawa), Satomi Aksaka (keyboardist, Rinko Shirogane) and others appeared on stage with their instruments. The cast members made a surprise appearance!
In addition to cover songs such as "Lufran of Soul", the theme song of the anime movie "Neon Genesis Evangelion: DEATH & REBIRTH CITO Shinsei" and "Hacking to the Gate", the opening song of the anime "STEINS;GATE", they performed their original song "BLACK SHOUT" for the first time. The band was unified by black and purple colors.
The band's gothic and elegant black-and-purple outfit was a highlight, as was their hard rock sound, which was distinctly different from that of "Poppin'Party. In particular, "BLACK SHOUT" overwhelmed the audience with the stoicism and dignity of the band's staged performance, including the interplay between Ms. Aiba and the band members and the aggressive, fast-moving sound.
