─ ─ Anime information site "Anime! Anime! the readers chose Kirito as the number one male character they would like to give chocolate to for Valentine's Day. He is number one for both men and women combined, but he is also number one by a landslide in the male readers' poll! Matsuoka-san, what is your goal for Valentine's Day this year?

Sadayuki Matsuoka (Matsuoka): I wonder if Kirito is being targeted by boys? (laughs) For me, it is enough if I get one. (laughs) Actually, I got quite a few from male fans (laughs).

─ How did you feel about the "SAO Cup Sports Chambara Tournament" held on February 12 (Sunday), in which you won second place in the inexperienced category?

Shinichiro Kashiwada P (Kashiwada P): There were many young people in their 20s around me, but I am 40 years old. The next day I had a hard time moving my legs. I seriously went up against my opponents without much popularity! Some of the more experienced people were able to use their sword skills, and some of them moved just like Heathcliff, receiving with a shield and stabbing with a sword at that very moment!

─ I heard that you used to play sports chambara and even won a tournament?

Matsuoka: I used to play "kata," which is a competition for beauty and accuracy of movement, so basically I thought my fighting ability had nothing to do with it, but I never thought I could use my old experience in this way.

─ ─ Since everyone has just seen the movie, spoilers are totally safe for this stage greeting, but for those who have not seen the movie yet, which scene is the highlight at a level that you can spread the word about?

Matsuoka: After all, it is the action scene. As I said in the stage greeting at the completion preview, it is truly the culmination of "Sword Art Online". From the last battle scene, my elation became so outrageous that my lips kept quivering while saying the lines during recording.

Kashiwada P. I don't know how to say this in front of Matsuoka-san, but Asuna is cute. Asuna is the best. That's all I have to say. Even when she's in a pinch, she ends up being manly in the end. She's really wonderful, and I kept saying that we should push Asuna more, both during the production stage and when we were advertising the show. (Laughs)

──One of the highlights of this film is that unlike the VR in the TV anime version, the movie version is mainly AR. What were you conscious of as a voice actor and as a producer, respectively?

Matsuoka: As an AR actor, it was important not to go beyond the limits of the living body. I was careful about the way to make the voice convey the weight of the body.

P. Kashiwada: In VR, the character was Kirito's muso, so we tried not to make it too much like that in AR.

─ ─ Do you have a message for the fans in the audience today and for the public?

Kashiwada P: I have already seen "Sword Art Online -Ordinal Scale- the Movie" more than 10 times, and every time I get excited by Asuna's scene. (Laughs) Please come to the theater as many times as you can.

Matsuoka: This film is a theater version of "Sword Art Online," and all the cast and staff poured their hearts and souls into it and gave it their all. I hope you will watch it over and over again. Each time you watch it, you will see it from different people's point of view and make new discoveries. We hope to see you again at the theater after the opening night!
