What is the message contained in the first live-action jacket?

Following the release of the single "Nijiyume Road," their third album "Yumegen ∞ Time Travel" will be released on March 1. After all, the live-action jacket is eye-catching. It is a collaboration of "ika-san" and "takosan," which is unexpected.

Ika-san I finally got to play "Tako-san" (laughs). I had always had a visual image of "Mr. Tako," and in the past, when I asked people to draw illustrations, I gave them an image of a fragile image, but also of pink hair and red color because of the "octopus. I was a little particular about the jacket this time, which shows Mr. Tako with his eyes closed. I thought that if I opened my eyes, it would not give the impression of fragility, since I have sharp eyesight.

───What made you decide to use two types of jackets this time, one with live-action images and the other with illustrations?

ikasan: We had been talking about doing a live-action jacket for the third album for some time, but I was quite reluctant to do so. I have never been good at appearing in front of people, and when album jackets are lined up in stores, they are seen by all kinds of people. And you have to stand directly in front of them! What a ....... Besides, my previous jackets had been illustrations, so I wondered if it would be a good idea to make a completely live-action jacket this time. So, I wanted to coexist illustration and live-action, the Nico Nico Douga-like elements that I grew up with.

─ ─ What was the concept behind the artwork?

ikasan: The theme of this project is "time travel," and the illustration jacket is an image of the medieval world, representing the "past. And the live-action one is "the future. For the third album, I wanted to show a new me to the people who have supported me up to now. It's no fun to keep doing the same thing over and over again. I also thought it would be strange to be an anonymous artist, even though I used to upload selfies on Twitter, and I am not a mysterious character, so I wanted to show my true self. For those reasons, I ended up with a live-action and illustration jacket.
