The collaboration between the anime "Yuri! on ICE" and Saga Prefecture will collaborate on the collaboration project "Saga! on ICE" starts on March 6!

The TV anime "Yuri! on ICE" and Saga Prefecture's collaboration project "Saga! on ICE" will be held in Tokyo and Saga from March 6.



Yuri! on ICE" is the first ever full-scale male figure skating anime. It depicts the Grand Prix series, in which skaters from various countries compete in heated competitions, with cliffhanger skater Yuri Katsumo as the main character. Manga artist Mitsuro Kubo, who created "MOTEKI" and anime director Sayo Yamamoto, who worked on "MICHIKO and HACCHIN" and "LUPIN the Third: The Woman Named Fujiko Mine", have teamed up to create the original story. The town of Hasezu, Kyushu, where the main character, Yuri Katsusho, is from, is modeled after Karatsu City in Saga Prefecture, and the beautiful scenery of Karatsu appears in many scenes in the film.
