Anime film "BLAME!" to be released in theaters and distributed on Netflix in May 2017!　Cast includes Takahiro Sakurai, Kana Hanazawa, Ten Amamiya, and more!

The anime film " BLAME! " will be released in May 2017.

BLAME!" is an anime work based on the manga series by Tsutomu Nibe, the creator of "Knight of Sidonia," which was serialized in "Afternoon" (Kodansha) from 1997 to 2003. Set in a future where humans are exterminated and eliminated as "illegal residents," the story follows Kirii, a searcher for the "net terminal gene," in a giant "hierarchical city" that continues to multiply without limit. Directed by Hiroyuki Seshimo of "Knights of Sidonia" and "Ajin" fame, and animated by Polygon Pictures of "Knights of Sidonia" fame. Nibei, the author of the original story, is also providing full cooperation and supervision.

The film will be released in theaters for two weeks from May 20, 2017 (Saturday), and will be distributed exclusively on Netflix. The main visual, staff/cast information, and this trailer video have been released.

Takahiro Sakurai plays the role of the explorer Kirinai, Kana Hanazawa plays the role of Shibo, a scientist who works with Kirinai, Amamiya Ten plays Zuru, a girl living in a village on the verge of extinction, Kazuhiro Yamaji plays Oyasan, the leader of the "Electric Fishermen" who live in the same village as Zuru, Mamoru Miyano plays Sutezo, Oyasan's right-hand man who also is an "Electric Fisherman," and Mamoru Miyano The music and theme song will be sung by Yugo Kanno and angela, respectively.
