The screening date for the second chapter "Launching Chapter" of the anime "Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love" has been announced.

Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love" is a sequel to "Space Battleship Yamato 2199," a remake of the classic "Space Battleship Yamato" that became a hot topic. As the title suggests, the film is inspired by the 1978 animated film "Farewell Space Battleship Yamato: Warriors of Love." Three years after Yamato completes its voyage to Iskandar, the threat of the battle nation of Gatlantis, the Imperial Star, looms over a recovering Earth, and the Yamato crew faces a new voyage to confront it. The film is directed by Shoji Nishizaki as executive producer, Nobuyoshi Habara of "Blue Sky Fafner" as director, Makoto Kobayashi of "Space Battleship Yamato: Resurrection Arc" as assistant director, and Harutoshi Fukui of "Mobile Suit Gundam UC" as series composer and scriptwriter. The first chapter, "The Pioneer Arc," is being screened at 15 theaters nationwide, including Shinjuku Piccadilly, starting February 25, 2017, for a limited two-week period.

Story
Chapter 2 "Launching Arc
Invited by a mysterious young Gamilan key man, Ancient meets Ambassador Burrell at the Gamilan embassy on the moon, and is told the story of the planet Terezat and Teresa.
After returning to Earth, Ancient was informed of the negative legacy that the "Cosmoliverse System" had brought to Earth.
Ancient, once again angry at the Earth government's policy, calls on the Defense Forces' top brass to respond to Theresa's message sent to them, but they are unable to obtain permission to launch the Yamato. ......
The Yamato crew who received that message gather in front of the Space Battleship Yamato, which lies in an undersea dock.
Ancient decided to go with them on his own, in what could be considered a "treasonous" decision.
Once again, the Space Battleship Yamato sets sail.
The most advanced ship, the Andromeda, awaits in its path.
