ASUS "ROG MAXIMUS IX APEX" Z270 mother for overclockers is now available

The ROG MAXIMUS IX APEX, a Z270 motherboard for overclockers, is now available from ASUS.




The ROG MAXIMUS IX APEX is an E-ATX form factor Z270 motherboard featuring improved signal quality with minimal noise interference between wires by purposely reducing the number of memory slots to two and officially supporting 4,266 MHz operation of high clocking memory.

It also features a proprietary slot with the same shape as the memory slot, which allows for the installation of two M.2 SSDs by using the included "DIMM.2" dedicated expansion card.

Other features include the "Extreme Engine Digi+" digital power circuit, which uses high-quality components that can withstand extreme overclocking using liquid nitrogen, etc., the "Fan Xpert 4" fan control function that allows fine control of CPU fan, case fan, and liquid cooling pump rotation speed, and the "Aura" RGB LED illumination function "Aura", etc.

Main specifications include: LGA 1151 CPU socket support, 4 PCI Express x16 and 2 PCI Express x1 expansion slots, 2 DDR4 DIMMs (max. 32GB) memory, and a DisplayPort™ display output. Display output is DisplayPort and HDMI. 4 x SATA 3.0, Gigabit LAN, 8-channel sound, 2 x M.2, USB 3.1 (Type-A/Type-C), etc.
