TV anime "Welcome to the Ballroom" announces cast information!　Kanba Tsuchiya, Tomoyuki Morikawa, Ayane Sakura, Nobuhiko Okamoto

Cast information has been announced for the TV anime "Welcome to the Ballroom," which will start in the summer of 2017.

Welcome to the Ballroom" is a TV anime based on the manga series by Tomo Takeuchi, serialized in "Monthly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha). It is an "adolescent dance anime" that depicts an ordinary junior high school student, Tatara Fujita, who does not know what to do, and how he discovers ballroom dancing through a certain incident and develops his talent for it. Directed by Masanori Itazu, series composition and script by Kenichi Suemitsu, character design by Takahiro Kishida, music by Yuki Hayashi, and animation production by Production I.G.

The cast information has been announced, and it has been revealed that the main character Tatara Fujita will be played by Kanba Tsuchiya, Tatara's teacher Kaname Sengoku will be played by Tomoyuki Morikawa, the heroine Shizuku Hanaoka will be played by Ayane Sakura, and Tatara's rival Kiyoharu Hyodo will be played by Nobuhiko Okamoto.

Tadara Fujita (CV: Kanba Tsuchiya)
She is a junior high school student with no goals and worries about her future.
One day, she was introduced to ballroom dancing,
She devotes her youth to dance in order to change the person she has become.
She is a keen observer and can quickly memorize the moves she sees.

Every time I read this work, I am overwhelmed by the sheer passion. The power of the images, the words that seep into my heart, and the elation that comes from Tadara's growth. In order to convey this passion, I must not only put my all into this work, but I must not lose to Tadara's growth, and I feel strongly that I must keep up with him.
I am inexperienced, but as Tadara, I will try my best to worry, rejoice, dance, and live.

Hanaoka Shizuku (CV: Sakura Ayane)
Tadara's classmate. She is also Seiharu Hyodo's dance partner.
After graduating from junior high school, she and Hyodo are considering studying dance abroad.
She is a girl who is stoically devoted to dance, and at first she resents Tadara's participation in dance lessons as cold-hearted.

My name is Ayane Sakura, and I will be voicing Hanaoka Shizuku.
When I actually experienced competitive dance during recording, I was reminded that Shizuku's ability, charm, and talent are out of the ordinary, and I was convinced that the dance scenes, which are so dynamic in the original story, would surely look great in the animation. I hope that we, the voice actors, can play a part in moving your emotions with our voice performances.

Kiyoharu Hyodo (CV: Nobuhiko Okamoto)
He is paired with Hanaoka Shizuku.
He is in the same grade as Tadara in the amateur world,
He is a genius dancer with overwhelming ability and achievement in the amateur world.

I am Nobuhiko Okamoto and I will be playing the role of Kiyoharu Hyodo. I will do my best to understand why he is a genius and why he is called a genius. I'm looking forward to working on the set, as it is a work with interesting conversations. I also hope I can use this opportunity to learn how to dance.

Kaname Sengoku (CV: Tomoyuki Morikawa)
He is Tadara's dance teacher.
He took Tadara to "Ogasawara Dance Studio" when Tadara was tangled up with a delinquent and invited him to dance,

My role is Kaname Sengoku, a professional dancer who leads Tadara Fujita, the main character, into the world of dance.
