HTC U Play, a new mid-range model of HTC smartphones, is now on sale.

It features features functions on par with high-end models, such as HTC USonic, which optimizes audio by analyzing a person's inner ear with sonic pulses when using USB Type-C connected earphones, and a 16-megapixel camera for both the front and rear cameras.

The main specifications are as follows: the onboard OS is Android 6.0; the onboard CPU is MediaTek "Helio P10" (operating clock: 2.0 GHz/octa-core). The display is a 5.2-inch LCD display (1,920 x 1,080 pixels). Memory is 4 GB and internal storage is 64 GB. Other features include wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac), microSD card slot (up to 2 TB/shared with SIM2 card slot), front camera (16 megapixels)/rear (16 megapixels) camera, wireless LAN (IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS, USB 2.0 Type-C, etc.

Communication systems supported are FDD-LTE (1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28), TDD-LTE (38/40), W-CDMA (850/900/1,900/2,100MHz), and GSM (850/900/1800/1,900MHz).

The device measures 72.9 (W) x 145.99 (D) x 3.5 ~ 7.99 (H) mm and weighs 145 g.
