Watching the anime makes you want to build plastic models!　Spring Anime "Frame Arms Girl", Episode 1 Advance Screening Report

An advance screening event of the first episode of the TV anime "Frame Arms Girl," which will start in April 2017, was held at Space FS Shiodome in Tokyo on March 9. In addition to the advance screening of the first episode, talks by staff and cast members and announcements of new information were made at the event.

Frame Arms Girl" is a TV anime based on the popular plastic model series by Kotobukiya. It depicts the strange, fun, and playful daily life of Ao, an ordinary high school girl, and "Frame Arms Girl Todoroki", the latest prototype machine equipped with Artificial Self (AS), which is delivered to her. Directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi, series composition by Deko Akao, and character design by Kosuke Kawamura.

The event started with Narumi Kaho playing Todoroki Rai, Yu Ayase playing Stiletto, Rika Nagae playing Baselardo, and producer Manabu Sugiyama. After a congenial opening talk, an advance screening of the first anime episode began immediately.

In part A, the main character Ao Gennai meets FA Girl Todoroki Rai, which drew laughter from the audience as it explained the basics of plastic models and included many "a-ha" stories for hobby fans. The audience laughed at the "one thing" that hobby fans have come to know and love. The audience seemed to be satisfied with the powerful battle scenes, and it seemed that not only those who have always been fans of "Frame Arms Girl" but also those who have never touched a plastic model before could enjoy the content of the show.

After the advance screening of the first episode, talks by staff/cast members began. In the talk by director Keiichiro Kawaguchi and scriptwriter Deko Akao, director Kawaguchi, who himself has a deep knowledge of plastic models and toys, and Akao, who had never touched plastic models before, touched on the state of production, and in addition to Kaho, Ayase, and Nagae, Erii Yamazaki, who plays the Materia sisters, and Rika Akayama, who plays the Architect, talked about their experiences. In addition to Kaho, Ayase, and Nagae, the talk session was attended by Hibiki Yamamura, who plays the Materia Sisters, Minami Kabayama, who plays the Architect, and Rika Abe, who was announced at the event to play Fleswerk, and the audience was excited to hear their images of the characters they play and their enthusiasm for their roles.
