The limited edition Blu-ray release of the anime film "聲の形" on May 17 will include new animation footage directed by Naoko Yamada!

Information on new animations included in the Blu-ray limited first edition of the hit anime film "聲の形" has been announced.

The Shape of Voices" is a theatrical anime based on the manga series by Ryotoki Ohimah, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2013 to 2014. The original work won the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award Shinsei Prize, the Comic Natalie Award, and the No. 1 prize in the Otoko section of the 2015 "This Manga is Amazing! Directed by Naoko Yamada of "K-ON! Naoko Yamada of "K-ON!", script by Reiko Yoshida of "Girls und Panzer", character design by Taishi Nishiya of "Free!", and production by Kyoto Animation.

The Blu-ray limited edition of "聲の形" to be released on May 17, 2017 will include a new animation of the theme song "I fell in love" sung by aiko and a new animation of the song "speed of youth" by Kensuke Ushio, who was in charge of music.
Director Naoko Yamada (Kyoto Animation), who herself handled the storyboarding and direction of the new animation, said, "When I received the song, I always wanted to collaborate with aiko's music and images. I would be happy if I could be a bridge between Shoya and his feelings for Glass. When I heard from Kensuke Ushio that "speed of youth" was created with the image of the speed of youth, I wanted to face "Unamplified" as youth once again.
