A roaring sound echoed through Tachikawa! Space Battleship Yamato 2202 vs. Girls und Panzer the Movie: The Ultimate Sound Collaboration Night! Held

On March 12, 2017 (Sun.), a collaborative screening event of "Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love" and "Girls und Panzer the Movie" entitled "'Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love' VS 'Girls und Panzer the Movie' Superb Bombastic Sound Collaboration Night! was held.



Girls und Panzer the Movie," which was released in November 2015, continues to be shown in theaters on March 12, 2017, and is also a long-running blockbuster hit as an extreme explosion sound screening. On the other hand, "Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love", which recently finished its two-week limited theatrical screening of "Chapter 1", will be the first "Yamato" series to be screened with the extreme explosive sound.
In the talk session held before the screening, Miwa Iwanami (sound director) and Kiyoshi Sugiyama (producer) from "Girls und Panzer: The Movie", Tomohiro Yoshida (sound director) and Harutoshi Fukui (series composition) from "Space Battleship Yamato 2202: The Warriors of Love", and military critic Okabe Issaku Okabe, a military critic, took the stage as an observer.

Issaku Okabe said, "The size of the subwoofer (speakers) in the theater is the same as the main gun of Yamato. Tomohiro Yoshida said, "Actually, my hometown is close by, and I've always been curious about the extreme bombastic sound screening. I'm glad they invited us. Miwa Iwanami said, "This is the home of Galpan, so I don't feel like losing today. Harutoshi Fukui said, "This is the first superb sound screening of the "Yamato" series, and although we are away from home compared to "Galpan," we are determined to fight with the wave motion barrier. The audience was enveloped in laughter.
