The anime film "Detective Conan: Karaben no Koiga", guest voice actors Daisuke Miyagawa & Riho Yoshioka try their hand at public postrecording!

Guest voice actors Daisuke Miyagawa and Riho Yoshioka from the anime film "Detective Conan: Karakurenorabureta" were on hand for an open post-recording session.

Detective Conan: Karakurei no Rabureta" is the 21st and latest film version of the classic anime "Detective Conan".

This time, high school detectives from East and West, Conan Edogawa (Shinichi Kudo) and Heiji Hattori, join forces to solve a puzzling case. In addition, a new character, Ooka Momiji, who claims to be Heiji's fiancée, makes an appearance, and a "faint love story" involving Shinichi, Heiji, and their respective love interests, Mouri Ran and Toyama Kazuha, is also depicted.

The film is directed by Shizuno Kobun, who has directed the "Conan" film series, and scripted by mystery novelist Okura Takahiro.

As previously reported, comedian Daisuke Miyagawa and actress Riho Yoshioka, who have been announced as guest voice actors for the film, held an open recording session at a studio in Tokyo on March 17.

Since the film is set in Tokyo and Kyoto, Miyagawa and Yoshioka, both from the Kansai region, were chosen to "represent the Kansai region. While Miyagawa and Yoshioka said they felt pressure to take on the challenge of their first anime voice acting role, Miyagawa said, "It wasn't easy (postrecording), but since it was in the Kansai dialect, I was able to relax and act. (Miyagawa) and "It's easier to put my feelings into it when I speak in my local language (rather than the standard Japanese).

However, when the recording session began, the two actors' expressions became a little stiff. However, they performed well and impressed everyone involved. Yoshioka, in particular, confessed that he had been preparing for the recording for one month prior to the event and had been listening to "CONAN RADIO," which was distributed on the official Yomiuri TV website in 2011 as part of the 15th anniversary project. He studied voice acting through the radio, which he described as "a voice actor speaking in the character's voice, so you can see the character even if there is no video.

Mr. Miyagawa also said, "My nephew and my son really like [Detective Conan], but I haven't told them [that I will be in the movie] yet. So I'm looking forward to going to see the movie with them and seeing how they will react when my voice comes on the screen.

After the post-recording, a game related to the Hyakunin Isshu was played. The game required the skill to hear the words correctly when playing the Hyakunin Isshu, so four words spoken by Conan were played at the same time and the players had to guess the words. The second game was a lip-reading game in which Mr. Yoshioka, who was wearing headphones to block out the sounds of the outside world, tried to guess what Mr. Miyagawa was saying from the movements of his mouth.

In the "lip-reading game," Mr. Yoshioka said, "You are cute today, too. I love you. I love you." Ms. Miyagawa gave a love call, to which Mr. Yoshioka replied, "What's for dinner tonight? Today it's fuki," he replied. Conan was shocked by this absurd answer, and the scene was filled with laughter.

Finally, Mr. Miyagawa said, "This is a romantic comedy set in Kyoto and Osaka. I hope everyone will come to the theater and enjoy it." Mr. Yoshioka added, "This time, the keyword is the Hyakunin Isshu, a set of 100 poems. Yoshioka commented, "This time, the key word is the Hyakunin Isshu, which means one hundred poems. The open recording session ended in a friendly mood.
