The fifth model in Hasegawa's "Area 88" series is the F-20 Tigershark!　Scheduled to be released in May 2017

Hasegawa will release a plastic model "F-20 Tigershark 'Makoto Kazama'" from the manga "Area 88" in May 2017.

Area 88" is a manga work set in the Kingdom of Aslan in the Middle East that depicts the harsh air battles waged by mercenaries belonging to a base called "Area 88" and the delicate human drama that is created in the midst of these battles. It is a popular work that continues to be popular among many fans for its detailed mechanical depiction by Kaoru Shintani and dramatic storyline.

The fifth model in Hasegawa's "Area 88" plastic model series is the F-20 Tigershark, which the main character, Makoto Kazama, flies in the latter half of the story. The Tigershark is one of Shin's representative aircraft, as it was used in the final stages of the story during the battle with his nemesis, Satoru Kanzaki. Many fans have been waiting for this item for a long time. The kit is a 1/72 scale kit manufactured by the company, with decals included, and the vertical tail fin lines are selectable from two types.

The scale is 1/72 (overall length: 197mm), priced at 2,400 yen (excluding tax), and is scheduled to ship around May 25, 2017. Pre-orders are currently being accepted at model stores.
