TV animation "Nazotokine" & Tachikawa Tourism Association appoint former pro-wrestler Tenryu Genichiro as "Mystery Solving Special Challenger!

The TV anime "Nazotokine" and the Tachikawa Tourism Association have appointed former professional wrestler Genichiro Tenryu as the "Tachikawa Tourism Association Recommended Riddle Solver Special Challenger" as the first step in a project to boost tourism in Tachikawa by solving mysteries.

Nazotokine," broadcast from October 2016, is an original TV animation based on and directed by Naoya Fukushi, the CG director of "Yosei Zushi: Sei no Ritsu" and other works. It attracted attention as the "world's first mystery-solving anime" in which the main character, Amino Sokine, is suddenly trapped in a mysterious space and must solve a mystery in order to escape. Character design was by Hitomi Takano and animation was produced by Tengu Kobo.

Mr. Tengu is well known not only as a professional wrestler but also as a TV personality active in a wide range of media, and he will be asked to promote the event through solving the riddles. The appointment ceremony will be held on March 26 (Sun.) from 1:00 p.m. at the TOKYO MX booth in the AnimeJapan venue.
