Official Report
From left to right: Misako Iino, Yuki Tanaka, Yotomi Suzuki, Suzuko Mimori, Momone Iwabuchi, Mina Katahira, Mitsuho Kobe
─ (To Ms. Mimori) How was it watching over the Kimikoe auditions?
Mimori: I was excited to see who would be chosen. I was excited, and as the auditions were gradually narrowed down, everyone was shining so brightly that it would have been no surprise if anyone had been selected. I was watching over them, thinking, "I hope they all get in! But when the six of us were all together, it felt right!
─ ─ (To Mimori-san) How did you feel when you did the recording?
Mimori: I was under a lot of pressure playing the role of a high school student with everyone else! Am I doing okay? I wondered if I was going to be okay. I wondered if I would be okay. My character, Shion Yazawa, is the same age as the other six, but due to family circumstances, she became an adult earlier than the others and has become closed-minded and stubborn. She is the key girl in the story who, with the help of the others, gradually becomes more positive!
I saw the pictures during the post recording, and the openness of the seaside town of Shonan and the blue of the sky and the sea were beautifully expressed, and I thought, "I can't wait to see this! I couldn't wait to see it! I have been involved in a lot of youth films, but I am grateful to be able to experience youth from the beginning like this, and it made me realize once again that voice acting is a wonderful profession.
(Thank you for taking another step forward into our youth together!
NOW ON AIR: Thank you very much!
(To NOW ON AIR) How did you feel when you saw Mimori-san's postrecording?
Iino: I was very nervous to do the dubbing together!
Katahira: It was like a dream that we were able to work together next to each other! I've been watching him for a long time.... It was like I was playing the role as it was, and I was watching him while thinking how amazing he was.
Kobe: I met her for the first time during the post recording...she was so cute even though she was my senior!
─ ─ (To Mr. Mimori) What did you think when you saw the recording of the six members of NOW ON AIR?
Mimori: I was frankly impressed! I can't express it in one word. Their performances were pure and not yet dyed in any way, and I could feel the alpha waves coming out of them, which was heartwarming!
─ (To Mimori-san) How did you feel when you heard our debut songs "May this voice reach you" and "The wind blew"?
Mimori: I was deeply moved by their expression and appearance without any lies.
Mimori: How was your first time shooting a music video?
Suzuki: I didn't know what to do. I was sometimes scolded. I had no choice but to give it my all, so I did my best, even though I was not very good at it!
Suzuki: What are the highlights of the film for everyone?
Mimori: The movie will be released in August, and I think it is a refreshing, clean, but crackling cider-like movie that is perfect for summer. I think it's a refreshing yet crackling cider-like movie that is perfect for summer. I think it is a film that can be enjoyed and sympathized with by those who say, "I didn't have that kind of youth!
Iino: The waves and the sunset are so beautiful!
Iwabuchi: There are many highlights! The film focuses on each and every one of the characters, their stories, and the paths they have taken in their lives. Each one of them is unique and has a distinct character. The girls are depicted as they grow through various events. It is a life-size story, and I would be happy if you could watch it as if you were growing up with them.
Finally, how was it to participate in the events at Anime Japan 2017 over the past two days?
Iino: Singing, talking, getting nervous, blowing off (the content of the talk)... (laughs), there were many things, but it was fun. I am the leader of the group, but there were some things I felt I was not ready for. I would like to continue to do my best with the six of us!
Tanaka: I was really nervous. I was nervous about being the MC, but I wondered if I would be able to talk about the topics.... I was anxious, but the five of them helped me. I was saved by everyone's applause and sympathy! It was a fun two days.
Iwabuchi: I talked so much that I have never talked so much in two days, and I had so much fun that I have never had so much fun in two days! Thanks to everyone's help, I was able to relax little by little and have a lot of fun. I hope the six of us will continue to work hard together.
Katahira: This was my first time to attend Anime Japan, but I was so happy to be able to sing and share my voice with so many people over the two days.
Kobe: I think we grew a lot during these two days. I was so nervous on stage at the beginning that I was stiff and groping my way through my talk, but I gradually loosened up and became able to sing and dance, and I was happy to hear people say, "Your talk was great. But we are voice actors, so we sing, dance, and talk, and we will continue to do our best so that people can see our performances.
Suzuki: It was fun to have so many people come. There was a lot of talk about looking back on the auditions, but I was glad to have five friends next to me who could help each other!
